ROK Northern Regions – Round 3 Preview

ROK Northern Regions – Round 3 Preview | Red Star Raceway | 17 May 2025

We’re heading back to Red Star Raceway this Saturday for Round 3 of the 2025 ROK Northern Regions Championship, and with drop points now applied, the standings are starting to show who’s really in the title fight. Every class is tightening up, and mistakes are becoming more costly than ever.

Cadet
Caleb Rogers stays on top with 105 points, but Grayson Venter is breathing down his neck on 99. Giuliana Saladino sits third with 92—close enough to make a move if either of the front two blink. This is still wide open.

Mini ROK U/10
Noah Cronje is on a perfect 105, showing control and consistency. Riley van Staden is on 99 and still very much in the conversation. Lwashu Mathebula is close behind on 94, and this trio has been locked in wheel-to-wheel combat all season. Expect no change in intensity this weekend.

Mini ROK
Kayde Cornofsky leads on 105 points, but just behind him are Logan Billau (102) and Santiago Frade (99). These three have barely been separated all year. Any one of them could take the lead depending on how Red Star goes—and that’s not even counting the midfield pressure building behind them.

OK-J
Amani Kinyua leads with 105, with Reagile Mailula on 96 and Aleksandar Praizovic on 87. The front three in OK-N have been strategic and sharp all season. Red Star’s fast, flowing nature suits clean driving, so expect some surgical overtaking here.

OK-N
Gianna Pascoal leads with 105, and her form so far has been strong. Muhammad Wally has 102 despite missing a round, showing real pace when present. Ethan Bostander is on 96 and gaining. With the speed gap small and the field aggressive, this could be one of the closest races of the day.

Introducing ROK Academy
Also debuting this weekend is our newest class: ROK Academy. Designed as a low-pressure place to start racing, it’s the ideal launchpad for newcomers looking to get into karting without the intensity of championship battles straight away. It’s all about learning, track time, and getting comfortable behind the wheel in a structured but relaxed environment.

We’re looking forward to seeing the ROK Academy drivers out on track for the first time—and we can’t wait to watch this class grow.

Round 3 is the turning point of the season—what happens this weekend will shape the run to the finale. With the drop scores in play and the top contenders now clearly defined, we’re heading into a critical stretch of the championship.
